Rights to Jeg skal savne deg i morgen were sold to twelve territories: the Czech Republic (Plus), Denmark (Lindhardt og Ringhof), Germany (Rowohlt), Hungary (Scolar), Italy (Giunti), Norway (Aschehoug), Poland (Sonia Draga), Russia (AST), Slovakia (Premedia), Sweden (Massolit), and Turkey (Beyaz Baykus). The second Thorkild Aske novel, Møt meg i paradis (Meet Me in Paradise), was released on 1 March 2018 through Aschehoug. In spring 2018, VG included Bakkeid in its crime-fiction guide of ten notable books to watch.

Beyond the Thorkild Aske series, Bakkeid has also written The Chronicles of Dr Schnabel von Rom (Dr. Schnabels Krønike) and a book titled Tjernet, released around 5 May 2014.

International Editions & Reviews

The first Italian review of Jeg skal savne deg i morgen appeared on Thrillernord in September 2017, written by Maria Sole Bramanti. A German-language review of … und morgen werde ich dich vermissen was posted in August 2017. BOK365 included the debut among its Easter crime-reading tips, and Stavanger Aftenblad reviewed 31 spring crime novels in October 2016, highlighting Bakkeid's work.

On 14 February 2018, the Turkish release of I Will Miss You Tomorrow was announced, and the Russian edition followed via AST. A German A1 poster for the Rowohlt edition was shared in November 2016, capturing the atmospheric tone of the novel.
