Heine Bakkeid is a Norwegian crime fiction author. He is best known for the Thorkild Aske series, published in Norway by Aschehoug. His debut crime novel, Jeg skal savne deg i morgen (I Will Miss You Tomorrow), introduced readers to former interrogator Thorkild Aske and went on to secure rights sales across twelve territories.
In addition to the Thorkild Aske series, Bakkeid has written other works including The Chronicles of Dr Schnabel von Rom (Dr. Schnabels Krønike) and Tjernet, which was released around 5 May 2014.
